Yeeseon Chae is a curator and arts worker based in Chicago. Her independent research revolves around contemporary art through a cyberfeminist and decolonial framework, with a special interest in intersections of textiles, computation, and auto-fiction. Her curatorial interests are focused on bringing these folds together, questioning experiences held “irl” and “url,” the materiality of memory, the iconography of pop culture, and DIY platforms. She was the 2024-2025 Visual Gallery Curatorial Resident at Elastic Arts and is a member of the Korean diasporic arts collective, GYOPO. Previously, she held positions at the Hyde Park Art Center and The Kitchen.
