Artist Leaders

Bryan Saner

Bryan Saner is an interdisciplinary art practitioner focusing on the creation of performances, activist art events, neighborhood evolution and appropriately designed objects. He is currently an adjunct professor, mentor and advisor in the Interdisciplinary Arts graduate program at Columbia College Chicago. 

Maggie Puckett

Maggie Puckett is an activist, educator, and interdisciplinary artist, combining art and science to explore the complicated history and future of anthropogenic effects on the Earth’s systems. Maggie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from New York University and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Art from Columbia College Chicago.

Alia Williams

Alia Williams is a multi-media artist whose work focuses on innovation and the ability to push boundaries. Alia is currently finishing her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois at Champaign.

Amy Lee

Amy Lee is an interdisciplinary artist whose work is influenced by psychology, time perception, and memory as a tool for storing time. Amy is currently finishing her undergraduate degree at Northwestern University.

Argyris Angeli

Argyris Angeli is a visual artist whose work reflects on the tensions between stability, disorientation, the definitive and the relative. Argyris is a recent graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Bryce Wynton Jensen

Bryce Jensen is a visual artist whose work explores issues of identity within the social context including acceptance or lack thereof. Bryce is a soon to be graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Chloe Perkis

Chloe Perkis is a visual artist whose work explores absurdity and focuses on the brutal nature of the world. Chloe is working towards completing her degree at Harold Washington College.

Christine Harrison Frei

Christine Harrison Frei is a visual artist whose practice focuses on stretching and pushing of photographic mediums as a means with which to explore our relationship with images. Christine is a recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Daniel Sanchez

Daniel Sanchez is a visual artist whose practice is influenced by nature, raw material and that which exists organically. Daniel is a recent graduate of Harold Washington College.

Eric Perez

Eric Perez is a visual artist whose work is influenced by cliche and perspective. Eric is a recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Ethan McGinnis

Ethan McGinnis is a visual artist whose work explores time, control and intention. Ethan is currently finishing his undergraduate degree at Northwestern University.

Huayi Wang

Huayi Wang is a visual artist whose work explores notions of subconscious, nostalgia and interconnectivity. Huayi is currently finishing her undergraduate degree at Northwestern University.

Jaclyn Bae

Jaclyn Bae is a visual artist whose work integrates aspects of Asian and Western culture, expressing the unique variety of her life experiences based on heritage, cultural gaps, and memories. Jaclyn is a recent graduate of Northern Illinois University.

Jake Racina

Jake Racina is an interdisciplinary artist and musician who strives to make work that is impressively unimpressive. Jake is currently finishing his undergraduate degree at Northern Illinois University .

Katie Chung

Katie Chung is a visual artist whose work communicates as an optical concern of language delivered through imagery. Katie is currently finishing her undergraduate degree at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Kayla Anderson

Kayla Anderson is an interdisciplinary artist and writer whose works mostly in site-specific media-based installation and animation.Kayla is a recent graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Kekeli Sumah

Kekeli Sumah is a visual artist whose work explores the cultural politics of globalization and the construction of identity. Kekeli is currently finishing his undergraduate degree at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Kevin Oronia

Kevin Oronia is a photographer from Chicago State University who uses camera obscura combined with light painting techniques explore societal roles as they relate to a person's individuality.

Kristen Kula

Kristen Kula is a visual artist and curator whose practice focuses on themes of consumerism, altered communication, and material obsolescence. Kristen is a recent graduate of Columbia College Chicago.

Lauren McKee

Lauren McKee is a visual artists whose work is influenced by themes of nostalgia, necessity and cataloging. Lauren is currently finishing her undergraduate degree at Northern Illinois University.

Lida Wu

Lida Wu is a painter, critic, and translator, whose work is influenced by the relationship between the verbal and visual arts. Lida is a recent graduate of the University of Chicago.

Madeline Winter

Madeline Winter is a visual artist whose work explores memory and what happens when we are denied personal access to creating our own memories. Madeline is a recent graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Marcus McCoy

Marcus McCoy is a graphic designer whose work focuses on bridging the city’s cultural differences through visual representation, in an effort to create a universal perspective of society. Marcus is a recent graduate of the Art & Design Program at Chicago State University.

Maria Murczek

Maria Murczek is a visual artist whose work focuses on the geometry of the photograph, line, shape and form. Maria is a recent graduate of Columbia College Chicago.

Martin Hernandez

Martin Hernandez Rosas is a video artist whose work explores universal emotions and the relative relationship between any two given counterparts. Martin is a recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Michael Conway

Michael Conway is a visual artist who utilizes illustration and printmaking to bring a sense of humor to his work. Michael is a recent graduate of Harold Washington College.

Monica Pizano

Monica Pizano is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice engages themes of reflection, identity, origin, humor, vandalism, site specificity and wit. Monica is currently finishing her undergraduate degree at Columbia College Chicago.

Natalie Tarnowski

Natalie Tarnowski is a visual artist whose work primarily deals with exploring principles of biology and how such principles can provide insight to humans’ purpose in the natural world. Natalie is currently finishing her undergraduate degree at Northern Illinois University.

Pilar Amado

Pilar Amado is a visual artist whose practice addresses the history of conflict and its consequences in her home country of Colombia. Pilar is a recent graduate of Columbia College Chicago.

Yanping Wu

Yanping Wu is a visual artist whose work deals with folktales. Yanping is currently finishing her undergraduate degree at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
