Alejandro Waskavich is a Chicago-based, self-taught printmaker born and raised in Mexico City.
His current work explores the rural American Midwest, prairie lands, and Americana in a broader context. He has exhibited his work at NEXT Chicago, the International Print Center in New York, and Site:Brooklyn Gallery. In 2017 Alejandro was awarded the Artist Development Initiative by the International Print Center in New York, a grant funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, to receive formal instruction in the field of printmaking.
