Know Your Rights: A Toolkit for Cultural Producers

Friday, April 21, 2017 - 3:00pm to 4:00pm

Chicago Artists Coalition is pleased to partner with the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events for Lake FX CreativeCon 2017, the region’s largest FREE conference for artists and creative entrepreneurs.

This session will introduce artists to their fundamental rights as independent, freelance workers under the law and how to best advocate for their own financial remuneration and intellectual property protections. Incorporating a series of templates and resources, this workshop will also introduce ways for artists to politically organize on behalf of artists’ rights.
