Join Chartwell Collectors Circle for a tour at the home of Marilyn and Larry Fields, two of Chicago's preeminent collectors who have cultivated an impressive collection of contemporary art. Their collection includes a rotating selection of paintings, drawings, photography and sculptures. Included are works by Christopher Wool, Damien Hirst, George Condo, Richard Prince, and Chicago artists Kerry James Marshall, Theaster Gates, Nick Cave and William O'Brien.
The couple are incredibly supportive of the Chicago arts community, and are deeply involved with the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, having underwritten the Marilyn and Larry Fields Curator position held by Naomi Beckwith. Larry, a former floor trader in the commodities market, is a current trustee at the MCA and serves on the Executive and Collection Committees. Marilyn joined the women’s board of the museum in 1999, later serving as board president from 2004-07 during which she spearheaded the Family Education Initiative that engages volunteers in the MCA's family education programs.
Open to Collectors Circle members only. Limited availability, RSVP required.
