Chicago Artists Coalition’s Education strategy is designed to address the vital skillsets and resources that empower artists to nurture and sustain dynamic creative careers.
CAC's appoach to education is rooted in two primary programs: FIELD/WORK and LAUNCH Invitational Residency.
FIELD/WORK is a year-round program of workshops, personalized consultations, peer learning exchanges, and tutorials that provide artists of all disciplines and career stages with the educational skills needed for creative and professional success.
LAUNCH Invitational Residency is a professional development residency for recent BA and BFA graduates. Offered to a limited number of promising students nominated by faculty, the four-day-long experience creates a rigorous environment within which artists learn career-building skills from both professionals and peers.
In addition to in-person programming, CAC's Education team also contributes a range of professional development offerings to the Chicago Artists Resource (CAR) website. In addition to informative articles, artist profiles, and curated resource links, CAR supports Survival Guide, a four-part video series presenting foundational tools in business development, financial planning, social media marketing, and legal topics.
